So give me a challenge

Perhaps my lack of creativity is simply a lack of seeds of creativity.

Give me something to write about, and I'll do what I can.

I'll look at something mundane and make it exciting. I just can't think of anything mundane I'd like to make exciting.

Comments:
Challenge? Hm. You always seemed to like the numbers of things, especially when it came to your weight compared to other people.

So, maybe you try to out-gain Ian's loss? So you gain faster than he loses.

Or maybe you try to beat Amy at her gaining. That'd be a real challenge from the sound of it! Can you gain 26 pounds in the time she gains 25, say?

Dunno, some ideas :)

Thanks for the effort Dania.

I was looking for a bit of a creative challenge, while I suppose this would take some creativity, it's not much of a challenge really.

Haha. ok. I guess I shot too low. More of a challenge? Just change the numbers--you gain 2 pounds on every one he loses...or catch up to Amy by Christmas. I'm sure you know what goals are challenge-worthy as a gainiac.

Or how about try to redesign your entire living room motif. The whole shebang. Paint, decor, art, furniture arrangement. Being 450 lbs, with a 550 pound husband and a new baby, this couldn't be easy. And if that's still not enough of a challenge, try moving the furniture with Ian in it. ;)

Um talk about how fat you would get if you didn't have a baby

I'd suggest you are more likely than not surrounded by any number of things worth writing about, your life seems reasonably interesting. But perhaps if you fancy an interesting diversion then maybe a more change influenced selection of topics could prevail?

Select a few books from a bookshelf, flick them open and put your finger down on the page. Use this method to select a few words , tie them together and see what comes up, perhaps they suggest a narrative or a basis for something. Or at least try and write something tying them together, it can provide a good challenge, which can get you going on other things.

Of course it could be more than you need to look at the way you write in a different way. Perhaps try and write several pieces with interesting constraints upon the style.

Good ones for this include such thought experiments as E-prime (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E-Prime) and attempting to write (or even talk, perhaps think) in this style for a short time. The alternative to E-prime suggested by some is to attempt to remove the term 'I' from writing (and again some would suggest speech and thought).

Anyway, I enjoy reading your entries here and I hope they continue for a good time to come, hope some of the suggestions here prove useful.
